Arthritis is our nation’s most common cause of disability.  Joint damage causes pain stiffness and physical limitations at work and at home for more than 50 million Americans.

The Arthritis Foundation recognizes these challenges, and offers the Ease-of-Use program to encourage manufacturers to keep people with arthritis in mind when designing products. 

Well designed products can reduce stress on joints and make tasks easier for both people with arthritis, as-well-as those without the disease.

Products that receive the Arthritis Foundation Ease-of-Use Commendation have been tested and proven to do just that.

Before any product receives the Ease-of-Use commendation it must go through rigorous testing at the Georgia Tech Research Institute.

Dr. Brad Fein is the head of the GTRI’s Human Systems Engineering branch and manages the Ease-of-Use testing.
